The stabilization and solidification process is provided in order to detoxify hazardous wastes by mixing with necessary chemical reagents. The toxic substances in which contain will be reformed to non-toxic or to more stable structure.
Stabilization by using a technology which can adjust physical and chemical characteristics of hazardous wastes by mixing with active reagents, like Fecl3, Ca(OH) 2 , etc. in order to form new substances which are more inert and more alkalinity. Any contained toxicity like heavy metals will hardly leach after stabilization.
Solidification by using cement as binder, hazardous wastes which are mixed with active reagent will become more solid. This will reduce surface area which toxicity contained can not be leached from stabilization and solidification process.
